Our Forest School
On a Monday (Nursery) and a Wednesday (Reception) we go out to Moston Fairway Nature Reserve. When we are there we do lots of exciting activities like:
learn about the changing of the seasons
go on a lion hunt
play 1,2,3, Where are you?
learn to recognise trees from leaves and bark
make houses for Bugs or fairies to live in
and we splash and squelch and play in the mud
See the benefits of forest school
We have been working in parnership with the Lancashire Wildlife Trust, they now own the land that we use for our forest school. The Trust are working closely with the school to deliver extra sessions of forest schools to the children at school.
The trust produced these videos to showcase the work being done.
Do you have time to spare on a Wednesday? Would you like to help look after the Moston Fairway Nature Reserve? If so The Lancashire Wildlife Trust need you. See this flyer for more information.
